Matthew A. Thompson

Matt earned his undergraduate degree from Wright State University in 2005, his Master of Accountancy from Northern Kentucky University in 2011, and then his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license later in 2011. Matt came to Hannegan & Associates after many years in the tax department of a large regional accounting firm in downtown Cincinnati. While at that firm, Matt obtained a broad background in individual, business, wealth management trust, and gift taxation, with a focus on businesses with multi-state and multilocality considerations.

Matt joined Hannegan & Associates to provide personal attention to individuals and small business clients using his background and experience. He’s a member of the AICPA, the Kentucky Society of CPAs, and The Ohio Society of CPAs. Matt currently volunteers as treasurer of a local non-profit swim and tennis club, has a penchant for craft beers, and resides with his family in Edgewood.
